Once you’ve been referred to 1:1 support, your worker will arrange to meet with you to get a more detailed understanding of the issues you are experiencing. You’ll create a plan together for how best to support you with your wellbeing need.
Support takes place over the course of 6 sessions, with the aim of helping you be better able to manage your emotions and behaviours, as well as having an improved sense of wellbeing.
Sessions can take place in person or remotely via phone or video calls – whatever you prefer. Your worker will listen to your thoughts and worries, and offer you practical advice and strategies to take away and use in your day-to-day life to manage your emotions and improve resilience.
When support comes to an end, your worker may signpost or refer you onto additional support (such as our counselling or social prescribing services) if they feel it would benefit you. Alternatively, we may direct you back to Wellbeing Wednesday for a continued offer of a safe space to come and talk to someone.
