A Mind Apart Theatre Company is a Sheffield based social enterprise that creates safe, inclusive spaces where creativity and performing arts are accessible to all. Our vision is to use drama, dance, movement and music to inspire change in individuals, communities and the wider world. We work to create opportunities for children, young people and adults to grow and develop themselves creatively, giving them the tools, confidence and self esteem they need for personal change. Our activities include weekly performing arts classes, alternative education and school based programmes, community projects and creative therapy. All services are designed to be welcoming and accessible for people with mixed abilities and needs, including those who experience anxiety, depression, trauma, neurodiversity or other challenges. We also support artists and creative organisations in their professional development and work closely with families, schools, health services and community partners to improve wellbeing, engagement and life chances through the arts.
